Day 33

Well I haven't wrote in about 15 days.. which means I've been living in Washington for a month now ! ! ! ! Most days have been the same but a couple exciting things have happened.
1. I got my car on the road. After all this dramma with trying to get my license switched over I didn't need too after all. But now that my car is registered under my name I can get my license so much easier.
2. Nicole has hit her 13 week mark in her pregnancy. Everyday her belly is growing and it is so exciting that I'm here to be a part of it. Despite the morning/afternoon/night sickness that she gets once in a while its crazy all the things she is craving. I have to say the oddest thing she wants is apples with salt. yes I said salt.
3. I've fallen in love with baking!!! Nicole and I make pumpkin bread last week and ever since then I've just been wanting to bake. Today we made more pumpkin bread along with a pumpkin cake roll with cream cheese. It was simply amazing.
4. MY SISTER GOT ENGAGED ! ! !! I think I've said this a million times now but its about darn time :) I love Stephen like a brother so them getting married just makes him family!! I'm sad that I wasn't in the Bahamas when it happened but I'm glad my parents were there to be a part of it.

I'm trying to convince mom and dad that they want to visit for my birthday. It will be super cool for them to come out and see what Oak Harbor is really about. (even though there is nothing here). I'm also going to try and come home in April for opening day.. I mean my dad's birthday and nicole's birthday :) I wanna come home the start of April so I'm back here before the baby is born. I have to be here for HER birth :)

Today was a fun day!! We started out by going to Coupeville to go pumpkin picking. I of course picked the ugliest pumpkin out when Nicole and Preston picked out such nice ones. My excuse was I didn't want it to be the only pumpkin not to be bought :) We got home and decided that we were going to have dinner before carving so Mike and Jaime can come over with their pumpkins to carve. Dinner was soo good (thanks Vicki) The guys came over with their pumpkins and since theirs were store bought they were HUGE. I don't think I've ever seen a pumpkin that big! We started out with the carving and it turned into a huge mess but it was so much fun. If you head over to my facebook you can see the final results in the pumpkin carving :) Of course I carved NY in mine so EVERYONE knows where I'm from!! I might be on the west coast now but I'll ALWAYS be a New Yorker at heart!!

Now I'm just hanging out watching tv. I think we have to go on a midnight run to drop off some pumpkin bread to one of the MA's but then its bed time..

Day 15

Well today was an EVENTFUL day!!!
Woke up and Nicole & I had some breakfast. She made these orange rolls that were de-lish! After breakfast we decided that we were going to go for a walk and take Boo-Boo with us. Well on our way home there were 2 unleashed dogs roaming around. They seemed friendly so we slowly walked toward them. We walked past them, got smelt alittle and kept on walking. Well the one dog (a beautiful boxer) started to follow us jumping around. We looked all over for its owner so we decided to take it home and list him on craigslist in the lost and found section and also the pet section.
We named her Sydney. I have no idea where the name came from but Nicole called her that and she actually listened so that is what we've been calling her. She is a very well behaved dog except we aren't sure how she will be around Boo-Boo so we've kept Boo-Boo locked in Nicole's room for the day.
I really hope the owners check craigslist because we can't keep her. If the owners don't come forward a friend of mine said he would take her for the time being. I told him that if he takes her I promise to help out with her. She's kinda growing onto me.

Its 9:30pm now and me and her are just hanging out in my room. Well its more like I'm laying in bed and she is laying at the door wanting to run around the house. But its Boo-Boo's time to run the house!

Day 14

So today started out like just the rest. I woke up, went for a jog and then sat home all day.

My jog was nice, I went towards the Navy Exchange which meant I could jog on the beach ANOTHER huge plus!! I jogged for a while and then I found a nice spot to just sit and relax for a little while. It's nice to sit at the beach and see the mountains with snow on top in the distance. Twenty minutes later I decided that I was going to stroll back home. When I got home Nicole was awake. She was also alive looking and getting out of her bed which is a HUGE plus. Sitting home all day with no one to talk to is pretty boring. We hung out in the living room, watched tv and ate lunch. We took an afternoon stroll to the mailbox, nothing good. I do have to say that super market sales here start on Wednesday which is quite odd.

We wanted to go out but had no car to go out with. Preston was on duty all day so he was going to get home later then usual but not that much later. He got home and Nicole and I were ready to head to the commissary to pick up some dinner. We picked up the salmon that we ordered a couple days ago. We get to the check out and realize that we have NO money on us. We begged the guy at the cashier to hold our stuff while we ran to get money. Well we REALLY needed to hurry because the commissary closes at 7pm and it was already 6:30pm. I called Preston on the way home to be standing outside with money in hand so we can just turn around and go back. The nice cashier had our stuff ready, we paid and headed home. The salmon was great, so tasty. Vicki said the cat even enjoyed some.

Nicole and I went for a walk with BooBoo. It was nice to get out even though we were both in shorts and it was so cold. But after a few houses we were numb anyway so we kept on walking. It was nice, the moon was HUGE and there were a ton of stars in the sky. We walked and admired all the houses that had Halloween decorations, well we were more like seeing what ideas we could use for the house. We really need more decorations on the house because what we do have isn't much and doesn't look 100%. As we were walking home we both wondered if the car speed counter would count our speed so OF COURSE we had to try it out and IT WORKS !!!! We did it about 10 times and we felt we needed to head home to get Preston to make him try it also. I ran 8mph, Nicole ran 10mph and Preston ran 14mph, one more mph and Preston would of being going over the speed limit and the lights would of started to flash!

We got back and hung out for alittle in the living room, I have a headache so I came up to my room. Listening to some music and now ready for bed.. so good night :)

Day 13

I know I know I skipped DAY 12 but I honestly didn't do anything all day. The only thing that did happen was at 1130pm Vicki and I took Nicole to the ER because she was sick all day and we wanted to make sure her and the baby were okay, which they are!

So today is day 13 that I've been here and it was pretty much like the rest of my days here. Got up, ate breakfast, watched tv and hung out at home. I'm pretty sure that I took about a dozen naps today. I guess getting home at almost 2am would do that to a person. I was fine with it, not much you can do without a car. Which I should be getting soon!

There are a couple things that Preston has to fix on it and I'll be ready to go. Once its fixed then I'll go get insurance and register it and by then I should have ALL the paper work for getting my license out here. It's really been a total pain in the butt trying to get all the proofs I need.

Checked the mail around 5pm and I got my last check from Amerivents. It's always nice to get a $90 check in the mail. I actually forgot about it so it was more of a surprise!! I just hope that everyone else who worked on September 13th got there check also!

Well Nicole made stuffed peppers tonight and they were good! Nothing beats Mom's home cooked food but it sure was good!
We watched One Tree Hill together and that was also good. Can any show these days go on without someone getting punched by someone else? I just don't understand it.

I'm back in my bed now and going to actually try to get some sleep. So good night all :)

Day 11

Day 11 has come and is almost gone! Woke up this morning to the most amazing smell ever, gravy, sausage and biscuits. I have to say that had to be the best breakfast I've had in soo long and SO much better then Cracker Barrel will EVER make it !!!
Right after breakfast I got a phone call from the guy who was going to deliver my NEW bed!! He called at about 10:40am and told me that he will be at the house at 11:36am. YES he did give me the EXACT time and sure enough at 11:36am he was ringing the door bell. I can't believe that man drove 2 hours, set up my bed and put everything together for $100. I'm so thankful for him because now I can sleep and not by the morning be laying on the floor.
I decided that since I got a new bed I wanted new sheets and pillow cases. Kmart was having such a great sale on bedding and bath stuff so we headed there. Well I forgot that I gave the delivery guy my last hundred in cash that we had to stop at walmart first so I can cash a check. After cashing the check we headed to Kmart and I picked out the nicest bedding. I also got a pack of 6 wash cloths for $3.00 I was super excited. While walking around Walmart earlier Nicole and I decided that we were going to throw a Halloween party and lucky for us it was ready on a Saturday. While walking around Kmart we were looking at things for our party but it was super expensive, I did however remember seeing a Dollar Tree that had a sign "Halloween Headquarters EVERYTHING $1.00" so we thought it would be a good idea to check there out.
We got there and we were in Halloween party heaven. We picked up so many decorations for the outside of the house (I'll post a picture when the house is finished). $20 later and we were on our way home. Stopped for gas at the Navy Exchange and picked up Ghost of Girlfriend's Past. Got home and about 30 minutes later dinner was ready, meatloaf, baked potato and string beans, once again it was a great meal. (thanks Vicki). After dinner 2 of Preston's friends stopped by to say hello and then Mike came over to drop off some AMAZING apples that he got off his tree.
Everyone left so Nicole, Preston and myself made some popcorn and watched the movie. It was such a good movie and I recommend everyone go rent it. After the movie Preston and I played 2 games of Call Of Duty, I have to say.. I SUCK!!! As you can tell I didn't last after the 2 games because I'm sitting here writing. But I shall go to bed now because we are all going to church as a family. It should be nice :)

Day 10

Wow I can't believe its only been 10 days that I've been here, I feel like I've always lived here.
I love waking up to a fresh brewed pot of coffee (thanks Vicki) I went downstairs and sat on the porch for a little while with Vicki talking and laughing. Something always happens in this house that I just can't help but laugh about. Around 11am Nicole decided to get out of bed and we had to go to the NEX and Commissary for the food we didn't pick up at Safeway yesterday. It was mostly meats and some little things.

We got home and it was lunch time. Yogurt for me, I'm doing really good with eating 3 times a day and little snacky stuff in between. I've decided that I want to lose at least 10 lbs by April when hopefully I come home for my sister's birthday. We hung out at the house for the rest of the day. I wanted to go for a walk or run but for some reason the couch is the place I stayed all day.

Vicki started dinner, we were having Chili for dinner. Nicole's step mom Karen and her brother were going to join us for dinner. From the time she started dinner the house smelt soo good. We ate around 6pm and it was amazing. Growing up we really never ate chili but I've had it at other people's houses but this happened to be THE BEST I've ever had. She also made us corn bread :)
Dinner was amazing and we were all totally stuffed. I hung out downstairs for a little while till my heart burn was too much to deal with so I came up stairs to lay down. Watched a couple tv shows on the computer to catch up and now here I write to who ever really reads this !!!

But its bed time and I think maybe IF I just go to sleep my heart burn will go away..
*NIGHT ALL*

Day 9

Today started out just like the rest of my mornings, wake up and do nothing. Stephanie down the block asked us to run to some office on base for her so Nicole and I actually woke up, got dress and did hair and make up.

We picked up Stephanie's car to head to the office when we decided while we were out that we were going to accomplish our shopping list that I was holding on too. Well we got to the office, didn't have the right papers to drop off so Nicole and I went back to Stephanie's house to drop off the un-necessary papers. We ended up dropping off the car and going home for lunch.

Lunch was yummy and Nicole's friend dropped off some home made potato salad.. It sure was YUMMY!!! Next thing I knew we were both taking a nap. I woke up around 230pm and so did Nicole. We just bummed it till P-Mac got home so we can have the car.
We headed out to get manicures and pedicures. Talk about nice and relaxing and very much needed!!!

After our mani and pedi we went up to safeway to accomplish our shopping list. We got everything we needed plus more. After all these years of working in supermarkets I have no idea why I think food shopping is so much fun. Any other types of shopping I would definitely skip. Of course we go to the line to check out where the lady in front of us is as slow as shit and wouldn't help bag and then when it was our turn we got a bagger that ended up being useless. How do you ONLY put 2 cans in one bag and then try to double it? 1. that was super light and didn't need two bags and 2. talk about not promoting re-use able bags. Such a waste. I ended up dumping a ton more in each bag before we left.

Tacos for dinner was so amazing and then Nicole made strawberry short cake that was even better. We hung out after dinner and watched Grey's.. Very good and I'm happy I watched and then I watched Private Practice.. Great show ! !!

Now its bed time. I hope that tomorrow and the weekend is great :)

Day 8

Oh what an adventure today was. I set my alarm last night for early today. I knew Nicole had a doctor's appointment for 8am for her second ultrasound, I wanted to be there for that. Well 7:45am comes along, I'm dress and ready along with her mom and no sounds from Nicole.. Well guess what... she was still sleeping. She finally got up and we were out of the house at 8am for her 8am appointment. We got to the hospital waited a few and she was called in, then momma Vicki and I were allowed in the room for the ultrasound. Her due date was pushed up to April 23rd, 2010 which means we might have an Isabella Rose instead of Isabella Grace.
We got back to the house and I started to price out dinner. Safeway was the cheapest and I needed to go to a bank to open an account so a little later we headed back out to do some shopping. Everything out here seems to be a process and a half ! ! ! ! Well no bank account just yet but we did go to Safeway where I bought EVERYTHING on sale and saved $15.48 with their card. Before heading home we stopped at Wendy's, I made sure I over ordered knowing Nicole who said she didn't want anything would end up wanting something.

After the bank troubles, food shopping and Wendy's we got back to the house and decided we were not going to stay in the house and we were going to take Boo-Boo out for a walk on the beach. But here when I mean beach its no white sand, its rocks!! Boo-Boo not so much a fan of ocean water or seaweed. Nicole and I did see Jelly Fish (picture 2 the side) that were HUGE. I don't think I've ever seen a jelly fish that big unless it was at the aquarium. I found myself a walking stick which I do have to say was very helpful. Well 3 miles later we decided that its going to be one hell of a walk back so we headed back but on the road this time. Flatter ground is what we needed for a better pace! Even though it was long it was nice. We got to the house and relaxed for about an hour till we had to start dinner, talk about us waiting till the last minute. It was already 6pm and Mike was coming over for 7pm dinner. Potato chip chicken, string bean casserole and salad. It was super yummy, I'm glad we got to just hang out and all talk. Its so much better then these parties that everyone is drunk within 20 minutes!
Not much else happened the rest of the night. ALOT of laughs is all I have to say. Tomorrow is going to be a day of much of nothing, but I'm hoping I can get Nicole to take another long walk but in a different direction!

Good Night everyone :)

Day 7

Well this morning I sure can say I did NOT want to get out of bed. From what I can tell from my window is was pretty nasty out. It was like 10am and so cloudy that it was kinda dark out. But I was awake, the jets were flying and living on a military base that has ALOT of jets its pretty loud! I messaged Nicole on yahoo (yes I know she is just in the other room but its easier then screaming to her) we both wanted pancakes. So I got up and started making pancakes and bacon. Well half way through my bacon the smoke alarm started to go off. Its a loud beeping and says " FIRE.. FIRE... FIRE..." ours went off within a minute or two unlike the house some where housing that went off ALL day the other day.

After breakfast we relaxed a little till Nicole's little sister Joey came over. I convinced them that taking a long walk around housing would be good exercise. Well who knew that the government planted apple trees everywhere! Crab apples to be exact and they were pretty amazing. I think I'm going to convince Nicole and Preston to go apple picking, I don't think we need to go far because there is an apple tree in Mike and Captain Amazing's front yard. As we were taking our long walk it started to drizzle so we started on our walk home and just as we were getting back to the house a steady drizzle turned into rain. Back to the house and it was time for lunch.

We relaxed the rest of the day till it was time to make dinner. Nicole actually helped tonight, well she just boiled the water for pasta but it was a start and help! Macaroni Grill pasta in a box with some chicken had to be the best invention ever :) Twenty minutes later and you have an amazing meal.

After dinner we just sat around and watched Preston play video games like we've done the last couple nights. I made a couple quick bucks on myspace customizing a few people's layouts. Extra cash is always nice! Preston was nice enough to stop playing his game and make each Nicole and myself a bowl of ice cream. I'm getting used to this having ice cream every night deal. But good thing for the walks or run everyday because I'll be a cow if I don't.

While Nicole and I were sitting in the living room her cat was sitting on the ledge of the balcony inside the house. Well sure enough Nicole's mom walked out of her room to talk to us and the cat ROLLED off the edge, down about 20 feet and ran into the corner of the room. I know its not funny but Nicole and I were in TEARS, we couldn't stop laughing. All her mom could say was "I PROMISE I DIDN'T TOUCH HER!!" which I personally think that is what made me laugh so hard. (<-- picture to the side shows the distance in the fall)

Well going to head to bed now. Gotta be up early, Nicole has her second sonogram tomorrow!!

Monday, September 28, 2009

Day 6

Today started out as such a total lazy day. I don't think I rolled out of bed till about 11am. I officially can say CRAMPS SUCK !!! Thank God Nicole got up to get some food because she brought me the heating pad, which was amazing. I laid in bed for about another half hour or so and decided it was time to get up and shower to make me hopefully feel better. A nice hot shower later and I was feeling better and also refreshed.

Nicole and I just bummed around today. Nothing exciting going on and there isn't much to do when you don't have a car. I still haven't gotten my car out on the road yet. There has been a few speed bumps with getting my license switched out here. I don't remember it being this hard to get a change of address when I was living in Newburgh but then again it was the same state so maybe that is the difference.

Nicole and I decided that spaghetti and meatballs was going to be for dinner. I made the meatballs with chopped meat (hamburger meat for those who don't know what chopped meat is!!), onions, garlic and some salt and pepper. For a person who doesn't like spaghetti, this meal was actually pretty good!

We sent Preston on a mission to the supermarket for some ice cream, peanut butter cups and sprinkles in the rain and that is exactly what we got. Nicole and I watched One Tree Hill which was pretty good. I think this season is going to be one of the bests EXCEPT WHERE IS LUCAS AND PAYTON??? If anyone can answer that PLEASE tell me !!!

Well its 10:20pm and I actually want to wake up some what early tomorrow to do some laundry. Its not like I'm running out of clothes or anything but I rather not have a pile of dirty clothes sitting at the bottom of my closet!

So good night everyone!

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Day 5

Today started out like every other day. I was suppose to go to church with Nicole but decided that I wanted to sleep just alittle more. I woke up around 10am and went down to get breakfast and what do I see on TV but some New York Jets football. It was actually kinda weird to watch football before noon on a Sunday but it was nice. Preston and I watched most of the Jets game while Nicole was at church. Towards the end of the game Preston decided it was nap time and I decided that it was WAY to nice out to be sitting in the house. So I decided to go for a jog. It was so nice to jog along the beach. I jogged half way to the Navy Exchange and decided to power walk back. By this time 55 degrees felt like 100 degrees, I just wanted to get home and shower!
I showered and napped when I got back and when I woke up Nicole was home. We agreed that the left over sausage, peppers and onions were going to be our lunch on garlic bread. It's alittle hard to make garlic bread with no butter so we improvised and used PAM (at least it was butter flavored), it worked and not just because we were hungry.

Around 6pm Preston and myself decided that we were going to make shrimp shish kabobs. We prepared everything along with boiling some eggs for devil eggs. It was a weird combination of food but it was still good. I topped it off with a bowl of vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups chopped in and chocolate syrup during Army Wives.

Army Wives was really good like always and can't wait till next Sundays!!

Day 4

Well I'm going to start this as a continuation from last night. After the party at the AO's house which I have to say wasn't that great. It took FOREVER to play a game of beer pong that getting drunk was WAY out of the question. Nicole and I decided to leave Preston there and head home. On the way home we decided that stopping by Jaime (who would like to be called Captain Amazing) and Mike's was a better idea. We were there for little while and hung out with the people that were there (who they were I'm not sure, I just know Mike wasn't there). One of the people asked Nicole and I to run to the store (at midnight) for some smokes so we decided to be the nice people and go. Captain Amazing decided the best thing at the time was to go also. We got to the gas station in which we were told was open but of course listening to some one who is drunk isn't always the best idea so we headed to 7-11. Captain Amazing and I stood in the car while Nicole ran in but before Nicole even got out of the car we noticed an older man (maybe in his 70's) where an ELMO baseball cap. Captain Amazing was determined to take a picture with him and sure enough while Nicole was in the store Captain Amazing jumped out and took a picture with him.. (picture 2 the side)

Well this morning I woke up around 930am and Nicole & I decided that we were going to hit every yard sale to try and find me a bed. Of course when I post it on facebook telling everyone what I'm doing I was told I was going to get bed bugs and crabs. Well for those people, I was just looking for a frame. ANYWAY! Nicole, Vickie and myself drove around to about a dozen yard sales and NO BEDS. Well one place did have it but they wanted $500, for that I could of just bought a whole new set from the store.

After the yard sales we drove onto Main Street and got ourselves some amazing pizza. Yes I know I'm from New York and the best pizza is made there but this pizza is pretty amazing AND if you want something special they will make it right there. (Sorry James, this pizza is pretty amazing and when you get home from Iraq YOU WILL TASTE IT and say its good) Nicole and I went there when I was here visiting in June and it was amazing then. Good Times Pizza is Number 1 in my book (but just in Oak Harbor)
We went back to the house after the pizza and just relaxed for a while. It was nice just to sit down and do nothing, kinda like I'm doing right now (then again its 2am). Vicki cooked us some amazing dinner. BBQ ribs with stuffing and corn. It sure was amazing !!! After dinner again we all just bummed it out and relaxed till about 9pm when Preston, Nicole and myself headed to Mike & Captain Amazing's house (well its Allen's house also but I don't know him that well) A couple card games and beer pong later I'm now laying in my bed writing this. It was another good day and I can't wait to see what is in store for it :)

Day 3

Today was a good day.. I woke up and finished unpacking. I realized though that I needed more hangers so I knew another trip to Walmart was going to happen today. As we were driving to Walmart we noticed tons of people by the NEX. Well for the last couple days there has been a seaplane located in the parking lot and that is where all the people were located so we decided to stop to see what was going on. We were told by the very friendly MA (Master of Arms=Military Police) that the seaplane was going to be taking off shortly. Well 10 mins later and an old lady fainting the plane still didn't leave so we left.

We stopped at this amazing chocolate store on the way to Walmart. They had all different flavor chocolates so we each picked up a couple. Nothing beats Schmidt's but it sure was good.
We then headed to the bank for Nicole's mom and then off to Walmart. Nicole's mom picked up a few things and I got another pack of hangers. I'm very upset though because yesterday I only found white hangers and today I found tons of different colors so I picked up blue ones. They match my pillow cases!! At Walmart there is a subway so we stopped there and got some lunch.

Got home and little later it was time to figure out what was for dinner. Nicole wanted salsa so I agreed to make some of my world's famous salsa (thanks Kristin for the recipe) I found hot sausage in the freezer and decided I was going to make sausage, peppers and onions on hero's. WELL Nicole never heard of that but was up to eatting it. So we hopped in the car and off to the commissary we went. We got onions, peppers, tomatoes and everything else we needed and headed home. WELL half way home Nicole realized that we bought everything for salsa but didn't have chips in the house so back we went, except this stop we just stopped at the NEX gas station.

We headed home and started cooking dinner. Nicole worked on her potatoes and I started with the salsa so it can spice up in the fridge while dinner cooked. Dinner once again turned out amazing. Cleaned up and hung out on the couch watching Preston play World of War on PS3.
Talked to my best friend forever Amanda for alittle while today. Its always great talking to her. I never laugh as hard with anyone else. We googled driving from New Jersey to China and found out that it actually tells you to Kayak across the Pacific Ocean. That statement made my night and its still early here. I love Amanda so much and miss her terribly but I know she will save her pennies and come visit me (plus I'll be home to visit in April)

Now they are getting ready because we are heading out to one of Preston's friend house. My first Friday in Washington and I think we are going to play beer pong (should I wear my pong team shirt...? nah not this time)

I just wanted to add this for all my East Coast friends that I miss and I know they miss me too:
True friends are like gold and they could never go away and you can never lose them. You may not always seen them, but they are there anytime you need them

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Day 2

This morning I woke up not knowing if Nicole was awake yet so instead of just walking in her room I decided a text message would do the trick. Well she was awake (and no I didn't wake her up). We did nothing all day which was great. I needed time to do nothing and catch up on some sleep.
We ordered Dominoes for lunch. I highly recommend the pasta bowls, they are pretty amazing. After lunch we both ended up falling asleep for a good hour.

Preston got home around 5pm and I wanted to get my room fixed up so Nicole and I were off too Walmart. I finally got hangers which means I could start unpacking. Unpacking sucks just as much as packing it all up was. Nicole, Preston and myself started on my room. Well it was more like, I was unpacking, Preston was taking down a crib and Nicole was sitting on the computer.

I started dinner around 730pm. Steak with onions in teriyaki sauce. For desert Nicole and Preston were making vanilla milkshakes so I decided to cut up peanut butter cups too throw in.

Even though nothing exciting happened today it was just a nice day to relax in bed.
Tomorrow there is a spare car during the day so its off to the dmv, post office and an insurance company so I can see how I should go about getting car insurance

Good Night

Day 1

So I woke up this morning and my new journey was going to start. I was officially moving to Washington State within a few hours. I ran to the corner store for my last bodega (corner store) sandwich for a while so I can have lunch on the plane. Nicole and I got the rest of my stuff together and we packed up the car. We picked up Oma at about 10am to head to JFK. I swore I wasn’t going to cry because I got everything out last night with mom and up to this point I was good, NO CRYING! Nicole, Oma and I got to the airport and I blew through check-in. My one bag was over weight so I sat on the airport floor and took some clothes out of one bag and put it in the other bag. My large suitcase was 50.1 lbs and my duffel bag was 49.7 lbs. Talk about cutting it close! Nicole came in from parking the car and bought me my last cup of dunkin donuts coffee till I come back to New York. That’s one thing I will be missing because I’m not a fan of Starbucks. The three of us hung out for a little while before I had to go through TSA. Boarding was starting at 1130am so at about 11am it was time to say “see ya later” and this is where the tears started. I tried so hard not to cry but I couldn’t help it. As much as Nicole and I don’t get along I’ll still love her and always will. What can I say, she’s my big sister.
Well it’s 1:09pm and I’m on the plane. Just finished eating my lunch and now having some Sprite while I write this out. According to JetBlue Tv we are currently over Detroit at 35565 feet going 435mph.
The next time I write tonight I will be in Washington State.

Well I'm in Washington and so far I'm having a blast. My plane landed about 20 mins early and Nicole was already there waiting for me. Got my extremely luggage and headed to the car. There was so much traffic on the highway that we decided to get off and grab some lunch. Stopped at some restaurant, the food not so great. After lunch we were back on the road, we had another hour and half ride but decided that we wanted to take the ferry across to the island. I've never been on a ferry that you can take cars on so I was super excited. Because we had to wait about 30 minutes for the ferry we decided to hop out of the car to grab some amazing ice cream. The ferry took about 35 minutes and we were on Whidbey Island.

We got to the house and I had to change and get ready because our friend Mike was making us dinner. Nicole, Preston and myself got to Mike's house for a great meal of chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies. Everything was amazing !!! (thanks Mike) We bull shitted for a couple hours, well it was more of the guys talking about work stuff then us really having a conversation.. But we did decide that every Wednesday we will take turns cooking which I'm super excited to cook !

Its 10:38pm now which means it 1:38am in New York and just because I slept most of the flight I'm super tired. So good night everyone!

1 Day To Go

I'M DONE PACKING ! ! ! !
(well almost, all I have left is my computer bag which is my "purse" I hope the airline doesn't realize just because I have a duffel bag stuffed with clothes as a carry-on)

I can't believe I'm actually moving to Washington State. I was talking to Nicole yesterday and it took me a year and a half to actually go visit her and it took me 3 days to realize I was moving out there with her and her husband. I bought my ticket to move out there alittle less then a month after I was out there to visit her in June. 2 months later and here we are I leave tomorrow !!

Amanda came in from NJ to spend time with me. Breakfast at Ihop!! We talked alot about everything and I'm REALLY going to miss her. But I'll convince her to come to Seattle in June when her and her boyfriend go to LA for a couple days. People have been stopping by all day to say good bye, I refuse to cry (okay I'll admit, I have tears in my eyes right now). I'll cry tonight when I say good night and see ya later to my parents and of course at the airport tomorrow when my best big sister ever drops me off.

I can't wait to start this journey of my life but I'm going to miss my family and friends back here. Even the friends that I just met working at the US OPEN.

**Remember everyone, I'm moving to Washington, NOT Australia. I'm still only a phone call away (not so much a car ride away), a text or even an email.**

Tomorrow when I write I'll be in Washington :)

Well 2 more days to go before I move and I haven't packed a thing yet. Once again I should be doing that and not this. I spent the morning with my sister at the dentist and now friends keep calling and stopping by to say hello, well really good bye.

Project 365 of pictures will start on Wednesday so keep a look out for that also!

Heading to REALLY pack now and also stop at the bank and go to the gym for the last time in New York for a while !!!

3 Days To Go

Well for those of you who are going to be reading this already know that I'm moving in with my best friend Nicole and her husband Preston who are currently stationed in Oak Harbor Washington. Yes.. you heard me I'm moving to the west coast. I honestly have no idea what is in store for me but I'm super excited.

I leave JFK at 11:59am on Wednesday and will arrive in Seattle at 2:59pm on Wednesday.
But its only Sunday night and I'm no where near packed so I really should be working on that and not this.

I will be blogging everyday and adding pictures, so check back everyday!
